A new generation of destination management systems...
Created in 2003, tourist-i is a high performance, low
cost, web-managed destination management service for
tourist offices and tourist information centres. Each
client has a secure access to their own individual
product database on the tourist-i server, in which the
client may store all the details of their Accommodation,
Attractions, Events etc. Once the information is in this
core database, it is available for distribution to web
sites, kiosks, online booking or other services.
A complete solution to visitor
servicing requirements can be selected from the
following modules:
- t-POST
Brochure Requests and fulfilment, including
production of labels, personalised letters,
mail merge files;
- t-BOOK
Reservations/Bookings, including BABA,
Over-the-Counter and Advanced, either using
a simple basic form, or matching the
customer’s requirements by searching the
core database;
- t-BOOK+
Availability, which can be maintained
either by the tourist office or the
accommodation provider, and printed out for
display. t-BOOK+ can be used with the t-BOOK
module and can also drive an online booking
system;
- t-INFO
Retrieval of information from the core
database on attractions, activities,
catering, entertainment, events, facilities,
retail and transport information for
printout and display purposes;
- t-VIEW is a
constantly updated ‘tonight’s’ Availability
Display, showing 20 properties at once (this
number may vary according to the size and
resolution of the screen) using
time-controlled rotation. This may be used,
for example, in the TIC window for
out-of-hours service or at any external
information point which can be given
internet access;
- Reports:
tracking advertising success, number of bed
nights, and customers by post codes is
simple with the tourist-i management
information reporting system.
